Speed-O Linking Friday
With a major holiday appearing smack in the middle of the week, my internal calendar is adrift. It is Friday, isn’t it? Keeping this in mind, I think I am pass due in sharing some link love, therefore I self-declare that today is Speed-O Linking Friday.
- Mark takes a look at some weird science involving the donation of eggs from mother to daughter on his MeAndMyDrum blog. Mommy dearest could also be someone’s sister dearest!
Have you ever considered visiting the Baltic nations? That is, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania? You can learn how these three nations (once under Soviet domination) are attracting tourists like never before. Tallinn anyone?- MsQ has the ultimate blog junkie warning popping up on her computer. Or, is that a little bit of Photoshop playing around we are seeing?
- My beloved Yankees are an expensive joke these days while the Oakland Athletics continue to do well despite a limited budget. Baseball Investor is tracking how major league baseball teams are doing from a purely financial point of view. How much is 45 year old Roger Clemens being paid?!?!
- Jonathan Bailey takes a close look at plagiarism and shares how bloggers can use their *htaccess file to stop content theft. If you are a prolific writer, do you frequently check to see how much of your material is being lifted from your site?
- Cristina Mailat discusses how you can improve your Google PageRank and Alexa Rank on her Submit Suite blog. These numbers along with Technorati are often used by advertisers when deciding whether to purchase ads on your site.
- Many of us imagine ourselves as SEO experts — either we possess wild imaginations or we are the real deal! Jason lists several sites that feature SEO/SEM opportunities — perhaps a new job is in the offing?
That’s it for Speed-O Linking Friday — have a fun weekend and please log off and go out for some much needed F2F time.

I may not have been online for an entire year but I am online a bit much! No Photoshop BUT I do have the chisel-and-stone graphics program “MS Paint”
Chisel and stone — that bad, eh? I had no idea that MS Paint could do so much — you need to copyright this tool and distribute it for maximum effect (and profit!)
Hi Matt.
Nice from you to mention my Free SEO lessons. ( just check again the spelling for my name :D, is Mailat ).
I will keep these lessons coming, I have 22 lessons in mind and each one will be published every week on Thursday.
Cristina, I stand corrected. And, the spelling of your last name has been fixed.
I think that is a great idea — an ongoing series of articles. What a terrific way to bring traffic back to your site time and again.
Hi Matt! Thanks for the mention.
And that post is becoming a lively discussion. I’ve got a comment in moderation right now that I’m working a reply to. Should be interesting.
Mark — That’s good! Lively discussion equals an engaged readership, what every blogger wants.
Hi,
the ideea of ongoing series of article will make me write also more often ( hell, I promise to do it every week ).
In the end I will release all the lessons in a free PDF book for download. There are a lot of people willing to find out more about this subject and I am kust filling this gap.
Thank you for your feedback.
Thanks for the mention Matt, and sorry it has taken me a few days to acknowledge it. I was taking a leaf out of your book and keeping away from the laptop for the weekend.
Glad to have passed on the mention, John. Yes, putting away the laptop for a day or two every now and then can help productivity thereafter.
