Blogging the Blogosphere, Part 1

For about one solid month earlier this year, mid-January to mid-February to be exact, I made a point of visiting some 30 to 40 blogs daily. During that time I managed to discover for myself moving vanseveral blogs of note, some of which I will share with you here. I have since cut back on my daily blog visiting to launch and promote JetEmployment, but I still like to drop in and read what people have to say and share that occasional comment with them.

Local Search Marketing is a blog developed by horsager that discusses, as you may have guessed, local search marketing. For many of us, using Google or some other search engine means casting the widest net possible in order to broaden your market penetration. However, as horsager points out, if you also aim locally you could get some extra attention particularly with your press release. Your local paper may be interested in focusing on what you do even if your reach is much wider than their service area.

So Many Needy People, So Little Time

Bad DayI got your attention, didn’t I? Sometimes I feel this way, but I seldom give into these feelings. Yet, when you are part of several social networking and forum-related communities as I am, the pressure to respond to people personally can press in.

Recently, I was asked on one site via private message to trade links with someone who had a finance site that was compatible with my Credit Card Venue site. I promptly responded that my previously announced link trading offer was closed, but this person begged me to exchange links with them on an inner page, something I clearly did not want to do.
