For about one solid month earlier this year, mid-January to mid-February to be exact, I made a point of visiting some 30 to 40 blogs daily. During that time I managed to discover for myself moving vanseveral blogs of note, some of which I will share with you here. I have since cut back on my daily blog visiting to launch and promote JetEmployment, but I still like to drop in and read what people have to say and share that occasional comment with them.

Local Search Marketing is a blog developed by horsager that discusses, as you may have guessed, local search marketing. For many of us, using Google or some other search engine means casting the widest net possible in order to broaden your market penetration. However, as horsager points out, if you also aim locally you could get some extra attention particularly with your press release. Your local paper may be interested in focusing on what you do even if your reach is much wider than their service area.

Google fans will want to bookmark the Google Tutor blog to see what Crazy Chris has to say about the web’s hottest company, particularly the many products that Google has developed or now owns.

I like Chris’ comments regarding using Google Desktop especially for reading your Gmail messages when not logged on. Yes, you can access your mail without having another Firefox tab open! In addition, Chris mentions how to make your Gmail account your universal inbox.

Just for kicks, everyone who has a Blogspot account should take Chris up on his offer to buy you a domain name just so you can get away from Blogger (he uses WordPress). Yes, not every product Google makes rocks!

I’ve come to “meet” many of this blog’s visitors through various freelance writing sites including The Golden Pencil and through Deborah Ng’s site. Denise of Freelance Writing I discovered through her visits to my personal MyBlogLog profile. Yes, I will admit: if you stop by to check me out, then I’ll likely pop over to your site to see what you’re all about too!

Anyway, Denise has shaped her blog to speak to other freelance writers by asking them a Writing Question of the Week including her latest, “How Did You Get Started Writing?” Although I haven’t answered this question yet (I plan to) I like it when a blogger throws a question out to elicit a response from readers. FYI, I started freelancing in November 2002 after a “sudden” career change (more about that on Denise’s blog).

Yes, there are quite a few more blogs worthy of a mention, but those will have to wait for another time, hence the “Part 1″ of this article. Y’all come back again, ya here?
