The Article Writer

I have designated today as well as the days immediately following Christmas Day and up until New Year’s Day weekend as my “mop up” days — the time I am using to catch up on old emails, put the finishing touches on smaller projects, send notices to clients about my modified work schedule, and to get ready to put my taxes in order for 2007.

I welcome the change of pace, but I am most eager to celebrate Christmas with my wife and our two young boys. Everyone is off today as school is out until early January — there is also a lot of noise here as everyone’s activity levels have surged in anticipation of the holiday. Am I ever glad that my largest projects are now behind me so that I can use this interim time to get set for 2007.

I admit that when I started this blog one year ago, my initial focus was mostly on article writing, article submitting to online directories, web content, and the discussion of some book reviews. Since that time, I have wandered to other areas of interest including simply blogging about anything that has crossed my mind including sports. Too bad for the purists who insist on keeping a blog on the mark at all times as I am probably a major disappointment to them.

Yet, I also decided to publish on the landing page of the blog a description of what this blog is all about. Beginning on Tuesday, I added Article Writing, Internet Marketing, Press Releases, and SEO to the header of the page to offer some clarity.

Will I stop deviating from the course in the future? Don’t bet on it. I’ll cover the four aforementioned topics on a regular basis but I may chatter a bit about sports, news, or whatever else suits my fancy from time to time so please bear with me!
