I recently added several new advertisers to the footer of this blog. Although people are welcome to advertise here — space permitting — it doesn’t mean that I am endorsing their product.
One of the new advertisers is for a link building company. As you probably know, exchanging or buying links with and from other webmasters can be the key to your site’s success. The more relevant the links, the better your site can do with SEO and SERPS.
The company claims sole ownership of all of the sites you could be linked to. This is interesting as there should be no concern that any site is not under their control. I mean really, do you want to be linked anonymously without full knowledge of just what type of site where your link will reside?
It appears that the company is fairly new at what they are doing as there is no page rank to speak of. So, I’ll be following their progress to see just how successful they are in building quality links for SEO hungry webmasters.
I recently mentioned elsewhere my not feeling well. In actuality, my entire family is sick and on medications for bronchitis, strep throat, and pink eye. We’re like an infirmary here, but thankfully our neighbor Janie has blessed us with turkey soup and some much needed supplies.
Yesterday, I could not accomplish much of value. Anything requiring extensive brain power was just not to be. The fogginess of certain medications is a negative attribute to some antibiotics, but you learn to go with what works.
Through it all, I am pressing on regardless of how I feel. This reminds me of a scripture, “when we are weak, then I am strong” which speaks about our need to depend on God no matter how we feel — 2 Corinthians 12:10. Good food for thought as I press on.
This morning I logged onto the state of North Carolina website, the section for corporations and small businesses, knowing full well that this is the week I would have to pay my annual LLC fees. I fully expected a long and detailed form to fill out, but was stunned to learn that all that the state wanted from me was two or three personal bits of information and my $200 filing fee. That’s it.
I had anticipated that I was going to be embroiled in a paperwork nightmare, but I wasn’t. Instead, it was a five minute ordeal and nothing more.
Taxes are a part of life, so this fee is fairly inconsequential to me. Still, I thought there was much more involved with completing my 2007 LLC filing, but certainly that wasn’t to be.
