Please tell me you DON’T check your Google page rank from time to time. If you don’t, you are definitely in the minority of web site managers. You’re probably a lot saner than the rest of us too!
That being said, I came across a nifty device that can help you determine your site’s real page rank, not just the rank showing up in your toolbar. That’s right the rank in your toolbar may not be accurate or up to date, however this handy little device helps you to determine what the current page rank is for a particular page right now.
Sometimes a client will approach me about a specific group of articles he or she wants written. If it is a subject that I am familiar with, all the better. Generally, I refer inquirers to my portfolio page to view samples of some of my work and to let them determine if my writing style is acceptable.
Even with everything posted to The Article Writer properly indexed, I still find that some people are having difficulty navigating the site. I have placed a search bar on several pages, but I have noticed that the searches aren’t always that clear.
So, in order to at least serve one group of potential customers, I have decided to blog each of my personal finance articles on a new site that I have called Article Nation.
I started the site a few days ago and have just posted my first two articles. As time permits [yeah, when will that happen?!] I’ll add more. Please stop by when you get a chance.
I had written previously about some of my difficulties working with updated versions of software. Specifically, I mentioned how I was not going to update this WordPress based blog to a newer version.
Well, security issues required that the update be made and I did just that. I also immediately lost the blog as I accidentally deleted one key file.
Fortunately, back ups resolved that issue and I was able to successfully complete the update.
Oh, by the way, I am no longing relying on FrontPage to upload [ftp] everything to the internet; instead, I am using CuteFTP a wonderful program that is easy and quick to use.
Sure beats being booted out by FrontPage at least 20 different times!
