I don’t normally publish contest information on this site, but there are times when one comes along that is fun and offers a nifty prize. Pontiac plans on introducing a new vehicle late next year and they are asking for your help in naming it.

Pontiac’s Tame The Name contest is now in progress for the vehicle currently known as the Pontiac G8 sport truck. By visiting the link, you can spell out the name you think the truck should be called and enter some personal information for a chance to win.

The prize? Why, that would be your very own truck! For the record, I cast a vote for “El Camino” as that is the name of the Chevrolet truck that had long served this now defunct category. Sure, this latest iteration is a Pontiac, but why not offer a tribute to the original by giving it a heritage model name?
