At the moment, The Auto Writer isn’t listing industry related jobs given the current state of the economy. Manufacturing is scaling back at a rate not seen in more than a generation, resulting in mass layoffs or a cut back in hours.
If you enjoy working with cars, you may still be able to find work in the following areas:
- Aftermarket Parts & Supplies
- Automotive Repair & Restoration
- Online Sales & Marketing
In addition, select dealerships are busy including those for brands which haven’t suffered as much in the recent downturn. These would include Subaru, Hyundai and Kia.
Motorsports is down over the past year, but I would look into NASCAR and others just in case. Visit www.indeed.com for a list of current openings.
