We need to correct Hyundai Motors USA too because all of their commercials are pronouncing it wrong. But, it is the consumer who has final say because just like Acura, which Honda originally meant to be pronounced as A-coor-uh, the pronunciation of a product may change to match local speech preferences.

Despite the way American commercials say the name, the correct Korean pronunciation does not rhyme with Sunday:

Can you say, “Hyon-dad”? Now say it without the ending ‘d’, as if you would say dad, but without the ending ‘d’… “Hyonda_”. That’s how it’s correct Korean pronunciation.

If it rhymes with “Honda” (hon-daa), you’re saying it wrong. If it rhymes with “Sunday”, you’re saying it wrong too.

Hope this common error can be corrected

On top of all of this luxury, Hyundai creates a zero-sum carbon footprint for the first year of ownership for Genesis buyers. Who else is doing that?
