Hot And Toasty Car Shows This Weekend!

Hot cars and high temperatures don’t mix in my opinion. Then again, if you’re someone who enjoys classic cars, modified rides and the like, then this weekend may be the perfect opportunity for you to take in a car show or two.

The following shows are being held sometime on Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday. If a website link is offered, please visit it for more information otherwise Google a local search to see what else turns up for you.

4th Annual Country Car Show | Elburn, IL – 30 vehicle classes will be featured at this year’s Country Car Show event which will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 2 South 111 Green Road. $15 registration fee for show entrants.

6th Annual Thorold Car Show | Thorold, ON – This Saturday (July 18th) on Front Street from Clairmont St. to Regent St., 10 am to 2 pm. Over 100 cars and model classics; free admission for exhibitors and spectators.

Classic Car Show | 15431 Merriman, Livonia, MI – Benefiting the Angela Hospice Livonia and held on the grounds of Livonia Church of Christ, this event begins on Saturday (July 18th) at 10 am and runs to 4 pm. Entry is $15 per car (meal included) with advance or day of event registration acceptable.

Hot Rod Hayride Car Show | Valley View, TX – Being held this Saturday (July 18th) in the town square, the Hot Rod Hayride will feature 24 classes of passenger vehicles. Entry fee is $15 per car; free dash plaques & T-shirts to the first 100 entries. Registration is at 9AM & the show will end by 3PM with the awards.

Paris Founders Day Classic Car Exhibit | Paris, ME – The 31st Annual Founder’s Day to support the Hannibal Hamlin Library and Museum in Paris, Maine will be held on Saturday, July 18th. The showpiece of the charity event is The Bahre Collection of antique and classic cars. The collection, housed at the birthplace of Hannibal Hamlin, Abraham Lincoln’s first vice-president, is open once a year to the public at the Founder’s Day event.

Sixth Annual Antique and Classic Car Show | Egg Harbor City, NJ – 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday (July 18th) in the park, near the intersection of the White Horse Pike and Cincinnati Ave. The rain date for the event is Saturday, July 25. Last year more than 400 cars were entered; owners typically wear period attire while showing off their rides. The registration fee is $15 the day of the event.

Syracuse Nationals | Syracuse, NY – Starting today (July 17th) and running through Sunday (July 19th), the Right Coast Association presents the Syracuse Nationals, an event that features classic cars, custom street cars and so much more. Show entrants will have the opportunity to win the grand prize award which is a $70,000 hot rod!

Venice Beach Rides for the Community | Venice, CA – On the beach or beach side car shows are a lot of fun. The first “Venice Beach Rides for the Community” event will be held on Saturday (July 18th) from 10 am to 4 pm, with “roll in” taking place at 8 am at 6th Street and Rose Avenue. The entry fee is $30 for cars and trucks, $20 for motorcycles and bikes with the event benefiting the Venice Community Housing Corp.
