GM Understands Bloggers: Big Time

I was part of a contingent of bloggers invited by General Motors to attend the press preview days for the 2008 NAIAS (Detroit Auto Show) held earlier this week. What the show revealed to me was an automotive company which understands the importance of the blogosphere and the significance we bloggers have in helping to give voice to public opinion about various products including automobiles.

coBRANDiT, a media company based in Boston, was invited by General Motors to film the NAIAS, with a focus on the bloggers, brands, and big wigs who were in attendance. The first of several of these videos follows and, yes, my comments are shared here as well.

Pearl, What a please it was to be respected for what we do. If a blogger maintains a good site and is professional about their blogging, then the corporate world will stand up and take notice.

Jersey, it is a good move on their part. Other automakers should follow their example.
