Originally, Pixar planned to bring it out in 2012, but moved it up by one year when they shuffled other movies around. This sort of computer animation takes a long time to do and we want a movie at least as fun as the original. I ignore the critics too; they just don't get it. Yes, it is too bad that so much time must elapse between Cars and its sequel. Originally, Pixar planned to bring it out in 2012, but moved it up by one year when they shuffled other movies around. This sort of computer animation takes a long time to do and we want a movie at least as fun as the original.

It was just as much a story about Radiator Springs, and Route 66, as it was a story about racing. My son (4) and I watch this movie probably 2-3 times a month, and it never gets old. I really wish that the Pixar dudes hadn't dragged their heels in getting a 2nd installment of Cars out, primarily because of Mr. Newman's death. He was a great actor, and they had damn better get an actor that can do Doc with as much dignity as Mr. Newman did.
