Cadillac Showcases One New Model & Two Concepts
The first big event for today was the Cadillac Press Conference, highly anticipated by many
as GM was expected to preview the CTS-V, a 555 h.p., 550 lb.-ft torque performance version of its celebrated entry-level sedan. In addition, the long-expected CTS coupe was expected to make its debut along with one more special announcement from Cadillac.
The anticipation proved out as Cadillac introduced three new models. But before that, we learned that the soon to be released Escalade Hybrid, the world’s first big, luxury SUV with this technology will realize a 50% fuel economy improvement with green technology. Cadillac says that the Escalade is already the best-selling vehicle in its category.
In addition, China continues to emerge as an important market for Cadillac and is now the brand’s third largest market. South Africa is one of the newest markets for Cadillac and the brand will be introduced to Australia this year.
